The Best Of Place Card Holders

You do not really think about some of the smaller details of a wedding until you are actually getting married. Oh, sure, everyone knows the importance of wedding invitations, but who even stops to give a thought to the wedding place card holders? I have never, in my life, given a passing thought to a place card holder, or even to place card, yet now it is time to think of things like this. I have never even had a card holder to take care of my business cards, but now I have to get individual ones just to each hold one seat assignment one time, and then to never be used again? The whole thing seems so absurd and so wasteful. But, of course, my fiancee really disagrees.

It would be alright if she was looking for the wedding place holders herself, but she actually insists that I participate in every phase of the decision making process. I have no interest in participating – none at all. To me, place card holders all look exactly the same. But when she shows me this one or that one, and asks what I think, and I actually tell her, I get dirty looks, or even worse. It would be bad enough for me to have a different opinion than she does about wedding place card holders, but when I say that I do not really care, and they all look about the same to me (who cares about such things) she goes practically livid and says that I am not even trying to help. I thought that I was helping by staying out of the way, and letting her make the decisions about things like place card holders if they are so important to her, but she will not even let me leave her alone!

And, in all honesty, I can not tell the difference between most of the sets of place card holders that she has shown me so far. Oh sure, I can tell that these place card holders are white, and those ones are red, but if that were the only difference, why can she not just pick out a color and have done with it? But no, apparently there are some differences, and apparently my help with finding place card holders is so important that she can not possibly do without my participation. Somehow or other, I have got to find a way to care if I can.
